Introdution of Anchor Brick
Performance and Applicaion of Anchor Brick. Anchor brick plays a skeleton role in refractory castable. Anchor brick is also called hanging brick.
There are several products that play the role of framework in refractory castable: the first is anchor brick, the second is anchor, and the third is tortoise shell net. Anchors and tortoise shell nets are all metal products, and only anchor bricks are refractory products.
There are many shapes and connection modes of anchor bricks, and their sizes are different. Generally, it is made according to user customization. There are also some regular anchor bricks with lengths of 330, 390, 420 and 500m respectively, and the thickness is generally about 100mm. Its function is to anchor and connect the refractory castable lining.
Classification of Anchor Brick
There are differences between anchor bricks with holes and without holes. The purpose of anchor bricks with holes is different from that of useful furnace roof and furnace wall without holes. The use is embedded in the castable and hung with hanging parts, so it can also be called hanging brick.
The anchor is directly welded on the furnace shell. During the pouring of refractory castable, the anchor is embedded in the lining to play the role of anchoring and connection.
The most commonly used are Y, V and L shapes. The height is determined according to the pouring thickness of refractory castable. If the thickness of castable is 200mm, the height of anchor can be 160-180mm. The anchor is easy to oxidize at high temperature. When embedded into the castable lining, it should be determined by the lining thickness and service temperature.
Performancee of Anchor Brick
Anchor brick is a refractory brick formed by raw material technical proportioning, re molding and sintering. It has high strength, good thermal shock stability and toughness. However, the mold of anchor brick is a difficulty in the production process, and the abrasives are complex and difficult to make, which is much higher than that of ordinary refractory brick.
Application of Anchor Brick
If there is a hole in the anchor brick, the installation hole is generally in the neck. The finished anchor brick shall be free of cracks, and the size shall be accurate. It is easy to use on the furnace top. Generally, three-level high alumina anchor bricks are used more, because three-level high alumina anchor bricks have toughness. Although the quality of grade I high alumina brick is good, its hardness also increases. When used in general castables, it is easy to crack.
Anchor brick plays the role of skeleton connection in the pouring of castable. It is made according to the requirements of users during production, but there must be no cracks. Cracks are easy to fall and affect the use of refractory castable.
