Fire clay, also known as fire clay or joint material, is used as a jointing material for refractory product masonry.
Fire Clay Classification:
According to the material, it can be divided into clay, high alumina, siliceous and magnesia refractory clay, etc.
1. Clay refractory mud
The use temperature does not exceed 1350 degrees, and it is used in conjunction with clay bricks.
2. High-alumina refractory clay
The use temperature does not exceed 1500 degrees, and it is used in conjunction with high-alumina bricks.
3. Magnesia refractory clay
The use temperature does not exceed 1650 degrees, used for magnesia bricks, magnesia alumina bricks, magnesia chrome bricks and other magnesia refractory bricks, etc., and as a protective coating for magnesia masonry.
4. Silica refractory clay
Used in coke ovens (heat storage pipes, checker bricks, flue, combustion chamber, furnace roof, furnace end wall, riser pipe, furnace door, etc.), coke quenching tank (chamber dust collector, waste heat boiler), each A variety of soaking furnace bottoms, furnace walls, various heating furnace vaults, furnace walls and other parts are widely used in hot blast stoves, glass furnaces, glass furnaces, thermal insulation silica bricks, etc.
Fire Clay Application:
Clay refractory mud uses hard clay clinker as a base material, combined with soft clay or chemical binders. Mainly used in blast furnaces, hot blast stoves, coke ovens, soaking furnaces, heat exchangers, boilers and other furnace body joints and repairs built with clay bricks.
Fire Clay Characteristics:
Clay-based refractory mud has the characteristics of high fire resistance and strong resistance to glass erosion. It has good performance, strong binding performance, good water retention and spreadability, and it is prepared into mud without sedimentation. Ceramic bonding occurs at high temperature, which further improves various properties. The filling density is high and the water consumption is small, so the masonry structure is dense.
Fire Clay Construction procedure:
Add water and stir evenly when using, and the amount of water added will increase or decrease appropriately according to the consistency. The hanging mud should be full and even during masonry.
Application fields: suitable for metallurgy, building materials, machinery, petrochemical, glass, boilers, electric power, steel, cement and other industries, used for building coke ovens, glass furnaces, blast furnaces and other industrial furnaces.
